Dr. Rita Bakshi received her MD (Gynae & Obs) from Safdarjung Hospital after graduating from Lady Harding Medical College in New Delhi.

She has an art diploma from Singapore and an endoscopy diploma from Kiel, Germany. She received training in diagnosing genetic disorders using cytogenetics and molecular genetic methods at AIIMS, New Delhi, which was funded by the Indian government’s Department of Biotechnology.
